May 21, 2017 By Becky 18 Comments

These 15 delicious drinks are made without refined sugar to help keep your summertime soirées a little healthier without missing out on any of the fun. If you have favorite naturally-sweetened cocktails for summer, I’d love to hear about them in the comments!

Watermelon Gin Cooler from A Calculated Whisk: This refreshing drink is made with honey-basil simple syrup and botanical gin.

Watermelon Cooler

Grilled Mango Habanero Margaritas from Wicked Spatula: This sweet & spicy cocktail is sweetened with honey. Grilling the mango adds a little bit of smoky flavor!

Naturally-Sweetened Horchata Cocktails from The Roasted Root (made with this homemade horchata): This vegan drink is sweetened with maple syrup and is perfect for lovers of cinnamon.

Beet-Infused Margaritas with Rosemary Syrup from The Urban Poser: This unique recipe involves steeping beets in tequila for 24 hours to create a stunning ruby hue.

Beet-Infused Margaritas

Grapefruit Jalapeño Margaritas from A Calculated Whisk: My favorite sweet and spicy drink no matter the season! My fiancé loves it without the jalapeño.

Grapefruit Jalapeño Margaritas

Lavender Arnold Palmer from A Clean Bake: This twist on a summer classic uses monk fruit sweetener and lavender tea.

Grilled Pineapple Margaritas (3 ways) from Honey, Ghee, & Me: Creamy, blended, on the rocks, with or without coconut–Natalie has all your grilled pineapple margarita options covered.

Citrus Mint Kombucha Cocktails from Pure & Simple Nourishment: This one is sweetened just with fruit, and includes a generous dose of vanilla to round out the other flavors.

Strawberry Orange Ginger Fizz from A Calculated Whisk: This is my go-to for strawberry season! It’s sweetened with honey and the ginger gives it just enough of a bite to keep things interesting.

Strawberry Orange Ginger Fizz (Gluten free, Paleo, Refined sugar free)

Spicy Pineapple Coconut Cocktail from My Heart Beets: This drink gets all its sweetness from pineapple, and is made with gluten-free vodka.

Smoky Maple Margarita by A Calculated Whisk for SoFabFood: This warming margarita is sweetened with maple syrup and kicked up a few notches with bittersweet smoked paprika, both in the drink and on the rim.

Islamorada Piña Coladas from Flabs to Fitness: This creamy treat is sweetened with just pineapple and banana!

Strawberry Margaritas (2 ways) from Zenbelly: Whether you want an herbal strawberry-basil margarita or a spicy strawberry-jalapeño version, this post has you covered with recipes sweetened with honey simple syrup.

Strawberry Margaritas

Cold-Pressed Bloody Maria from Wicked Spatula: As a member of the savory libations team, this one requires no sweetener. And as you can see, the toppings really make the drink!

Bloody Maria

Blackberry Smash from A Calculated Whisk: Blackberries, mint, and lime come together with a bit of vanilla to create a fizzy drink that’s perfect with or without alcohol.

So many great ideas! I’d probably forego the sweetener myself but these would be amazing without the natural sweeteners too, so a great combination! Thank you.

Such a great list! I really don’t like sugary cocktails, except when they are naturally sweetened! I’ll have to make my way through this list over the summer.

Everything looks so refreshing, especially the watermelon cooler and the horchata drink. I don’t drink, but I could easily swap out the alcohol on most of these. So festive and perfect for summer!
